How do I prepare for a consultation?
Please prepare for your scheduled consultation by thinking through a variety of questions or issues you would like to discuss about each of your animals. Write them down and have them ready at the time of the consultation. This will help you stay on track during the conversation and get the most out of the consultation time. Kelly will utilize your love and good intentions to connect with your animals as you work through each question. Preparing in advance will create an optimum experience. Can I call at any time to have Kelly talk with my animals?
You must schedule an appointment time in advance. In person (home or stable) visits may take up to three weeks to schedule; phone appointments are generally available within a couple of weeks.
 
Can Kelly work me into her schedule on an emergency basis?
Kelly will do her best to offer a time slot within a few days for urgent issues (i.e. an ill animal; an animal approaching death, an unexpected change in the household, etc.). If your urgent issue is health related, please schedule professional veterinary care immediately. Kelly can then present the veterinarian’s diagnosis to your pet and solicit additional information from your animal that may assist with the situation.
 
Can I ask brief questions by email or phone messages?
Kelly works with your animal through your energy and love, and your interactive participation over the phone or in person assures a quality result for you and the animal. Please schedule time with Kelly even if you want a brief appointment.

I’m a new client, but since I only have one topic to discuss, may I schedule for just 10 or 15 minutes?  

It is important, when Kelly is meeting and working with new animals, that enough time is allowed for the animal to develop trust in Kelly and the process. It is also important for you, as a new client, to have time to fully explore your topic. Often, related questions will arise as the consult progresses which may provide deeper meaning and a better opportunity for understanding and/or solution of the topic. Initial consults require a 30 minute minimum in order to allow Kelly, your animals, and you to get to know one another. This allows for the best possible results. Once the introduction is made and trust developed, future appointments may be scheduled for less than 30 minutes as appropriate.

Does my animal have to have a problem or illness to do a consult?
No – in fact many clients call to check in on the animal’s well-being, to learn about what the animal may want or need, and to see if they have any words of wisdom for the benefit of the family members. Some clients' primary topic for a consultation is simply to convey to their companion animal their appreciation and love.
 
Can Kelly tell me why my animal is sick? Does Animal Communication replace veterinary care?
Animal Communication does NOT replace veterinary health care. Talking with the animals provides information that can be helpful for you to tell your veterinarian. Kelly does not diagnose illness or prescribe treatments – that is the role of the animal health professional. However, she can request details from your animal to determine where the pain or discomfort exists in their body which will assist you and your veterinarian in helping your animal.
 
Can Kelly tell my pet to stop doing a certain behavior?
Kelly can not guarantee your animal will change their behavior through a communication session. The most respectful approach is to listen to animals and learn from their perspective why they are doing a certain behavior. Often, what humans consider to be a bad or annoying behavior can indeed have good and loving intentions behind it from the animal’s reasoning. Once the details are uncovered, solutions can be discussed and compromises can be made on behalf of the animals and the people to create harmony and balance in the home.
 
Will my animal tell you my personal or family secrets?
Above all else, animals are honest and their intentions are pure. Our beloved companion’s first priority is to please their human and to generate unconditional love. Animals don’t care if you sing off-key in the shower – they may enjoy singing along with you! Your pet will focus on the topics for which you are seeking the consultation and will offer as much beneficial information as they can.
 
How does Animal Communication work over the phone?
Communication with your pet is not a literal conversation such as the manner in which people usually talk. It involves connecting with the spiritual aspect of your animal or their “higher self”. The connection occurs through love and genuine intentions. Kelly serves as a conduit by expressing your comments to the animal and providing you with replies from your animal. She will tell you what she sees, feels, hears, and senses during the conversation.
 
Do my animals need to be with me when we are on the phone?
It is not necessary to have the animals in a particular location. It is best to allow them to do whatever is comfortable. It is also best that the person be at home or in a quiet place to facilitate the necessary focus and concentration.
 
Does Kelly need to see a photo of my animal for the appointment?
Yes, Kelly does ask for a photo to facilitate her connection with your animals. She welcomes you to mail or email (see info on “Contact Kelly” page) her a photo in advance. Please limit size of email photos to small .jpeg files and one photo per animal. She will keep the photos on file for future appointments. If you mail a photo and want it returned, simply include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. If it is not possible for you to send photos, Kelly will attempt to connect with your animal via a verbal description. If a solid connection is not created through a verbal description at the beginning of the consultation, Kelly will not charge for that session or portion of the session.
 
Are the phone consultations as good as in person consults?
Yes, in fact Kelly feels a phone consultation results in less distractions for all concerned and this can result in a more solid connection. Remember this is a spiritual connection, not a physical one. Therefore, it doesn’t require Kelly to be with the animal. She works with clients all over the country and does most of her consultations by telephone. Her client base has developed from word of mouth referrals through people who have thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from their telephone experience.

A friend, whom I trust, referred me for an animal communication session. I'm excited, but skeptical. Does animal communication really work?
It is hard for some to understand and believe in animal communication until they participate in an animal communication session and can see the benefits and outcomes themselves. Kelly believes a little skepticism is healthy and understandable, and will spend as much time explaining the process as the client requires. Throughout the consultation, questions about the process and the information being received are encouraged.

As information from the animal is received and interpreted, clients will begin to see correlation between the answers coming from the animal and their own perception of the animal's true personality. Often clients become true believers in animal communication during the consultation. Sometimes the most powerful "proof" animal communication works, however, comes hours or days after the consultation when the client realizes that their pet's long-standing behavior has, in fact, changed for the better, a message from the animal to their human becomes clear, or a visit to the vet confirms the symptoms described by the animal.

How do I pay for the appointment?
Payment is expected at the time of the consultation. Please mail your check for your scheduled phone consultation in advance of the appointment. It will not be cashed until your appointment is complete.
 
What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you miss your appointment, you will be charged for a 30 minute appointment. If you have an emergency, please contact Kelly as soon as possible and no charge will occur.
 
Does Kelly communicate with animals who have passed on?
Many animals remain available and a connection can be made after they pass on. Kelly offers consultations to people who wish to have a sense of how their beloved companion is doing in the spirit world. Some people need to ask questions for closure as well as other information that is important to understand.
